Thank you Mayor @londonbreed and District Attorney @brookejenkins_sf for visiting the @transgenderdistrict 🏳️‍⚧️ President @ariasaid and the @transgenderdistrict staff led the Mayor and the District Attorney on a visit through the neighbourhood, and discussed strides being made to support the broader Tenderloin community, led by community led organisations. We also discussed cultural heritage for trans and queer communities, and the growing need for nuance in the conversations on public safety in San Francisco. While discussions started with social issues facing the tenderloin, we also discussed the amazing work @transgenderdistrict , @codetenderloin , @counterpulse , #UrbanAlchemy and the @tlcbd are leading to increase trees, benches, pedestrian safety, housing, and small business incubation support programs and the importance of the @dreamkeepersf initiative which has supported the launch of peer led community programs.
