We lost another one of the greats. Antonio Inoki, the biggest name in pro wrestling from Japan. I was watching the match between him Ali when I was about 17 years old, it was at the Budokan in Japan. If somebody would have told me (at that time) that I would win two world titles in that same place for fighting? I would have told him that he was nuts. Many years later I was fortunate to do some pro wrestling for his company in Japan, “New Japan pro wrestling”. Man I loved every minute of it. I have also been the receiver of the Inoki face slap at New Year’s Eve at the show of Pride FC. I remember his look before he hit me, haha, he had me hard! Later they asked me if I wanted to do a beer drinking contest with him, this was my way back to the “winning circle” (from the slap). It was Rico Rodriquez, Inoki San and myself. And thankfully I took the win! Haha, the rubber match will follow once we meet again! Deepest condolences to his family and friend circle.
