Reflecting on S P A C E V A L U E. I’ve been back on Instagram almost exclusively following architecture, interior design, object and furniture design related accounts and I’m interested in this idea of certain spaces communicating high value. It’s like a sort of alchemy is achieved through the use of light, color (or absence of), volume, materials, and minimal furnishings, art, etc. that makes me believe I’m worth more as a human being if I inhabit these kinds of spaces. Maybe that sense of worthiness comes from knowing that i feel calm, present, and connected to another state of consciousness when all the clutter, dirt, and cracks are removed and I’m surrounded by simplicity and beauty? The more present I can be the more worthy I feel in a world filled with distraction and constant overstimulation of senses.
