You know those moments in life.; the pinch me ones? I’ve been having lots of those lately. Not because our life isn’t hard or full of challenges. I absolutely feel more challenge every single day now than I did three years ago. Not because there aren’t moments that taste bitter or mistakes that are made. The pinch me moments happen most often when I stop rushing around so much I’m able to notice them. I never saw myself living in Tennessee. I surely never saw myself on a 40 acres start up farm on the opposite side of the country from where I spent my whole life. I never saw myself in this place that feels like an entirely different world. And yet here we are. Because God knows. And He does so much better for us than we can when we let Him lead. I feel discomfort every single day. I miss my friends. I miss familiarity. I’m lonely. I sometimes wonder if we made the right choice. But these pinch me moments I’ve been having lately, they feel like little God winks. Like “hey Erin! I see you. I know this has been hard on you but you’re in the right place. I’ve got you.” Reminding me why we made the moves we made. Reminding me that He’s been the one pulling the strings the whole time. Moments like this one; where you look back at your kids leading their brand new pony towards you, the beautiful Tennessee sky wrapping you in its warm, balmy embrace, and you really pause to take it all in. This is your life. Look at how beautiful it can be. Thank you Jesus for it all ❤️
