This is a @badcaseofpurpose appreciation post. Season 14 of @inkmaster has been a crazy ride, and the finale could not have been more intense. Through the last few years, Bob and I have been through so much and it doesn’t always make it to the screen but Bob is one of my very best friends. Through all the stress and heartache and chaos that comes with being on Ink Master, we always had each other to lean on. This man is one of the most creative people on this planet, one of the most technical tattooers I have ever seen, and one of the best friends I’ve ever had. Just being around him has made me believe that I could be so much more creative than I ever realized. It gutted me that we never got to have our finale together, but I have such an astounding respect for how hard he pushed himself and how he really tried to show what a true ink master is. To me, an Ink Master leaves it all on the table, every time. Y’all didn’t see this but I was fighting for Bob in the jury of peers and I was fighting for Bob in the top 3 because I believe in what he did. Since the finale, I moved and I now work at Bob’s shop, @shokunin.tattoo in Portland! When he opened the shop, he told me that Shokunin means “Artisan,” an artist who cares about furthering their craft. I am so grateful to be part of such a beautiful thing and I can’t wait to continue pushing the envelope of what’s possible in tattooing! Love you all, thanks for watching us this season.
