I went to the Shanghai Expo in 2010 and it was quite fun. We flew from Vienna to Dubai from March 16 to March 23 for Expo Dubai 2020 🤗 Very excited to be in Dubai for the first time 🤩 We spent two days walking around the Expo 😍 Unfortunately, we didn't get to visit many of the big pavilions because we either didn't get fast track tickets or we weren't even allowed to wait in line 🥲 🥲 🇯🇵 For example, the Japanese pavilion is the pavilion I most wanted to visit but the staff told us that the pavilion was fully booked for the whole day, not even queueing. We should try to grab tickets at 9:00 am the next day on the Expo App. The next morning we tried, but no chance... 🇩🇪 German pavilion is also impossible. Outside the pavilion there was a queue with a waiting time of 3, 4 hours omg no thanks ... • The theme of the Expo is: "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future. The sub-themes "Opportunity", "Mobility" and "Sustainability" (Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability), want to inspire people to protect the planet, explore new frontiers and create a better future together. • 🇦🇹 As an Austrian, of course I had to visit the Austrian Pavilion. The Austrian pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo was pathetic...the whole pavilion had no content, just a poorly projections of Alpine landscape on white walls. This time in Dubai Austria has put its heart into it 🤩The pavilion shape consists of 38 shiny white cones. A superb architectural concept has created an integrated space with a simple cone shape.
