Sunday was a great game beginning to end with non stop action playing against God Squad who took the win on the famous court where the #budabean started many years ago in 1994 by a couple of local guys called Ike who passed sadly, Buck who would keep control on and off the courts and bring them refs to judge the games and he’s the uncle of @zeek90z_ who’s been doing a lot in the background for the youth in the tournament then there’s Buda Bean himself whose clothing still represents in the 90z and the tournament called after because of his clothing brand back then and then there’s Tru who would go out and bring players to and from the neighborhood to games in different tournaments and still does it today, then there’s @djbigbadbolo9oz who was a young commentary/DJ back then and last year he took the tournament back after hitting many obstacles but that didn’t stop him and here we are #budabean2022. @shmizzy_j been doing his thing getting them officials to take note and then there’s the commentary during the games by non other and also a talented player but with a injured arm @slimeron and of course @luccylefty_pep who always got something to say on the mic. Then we have the guys who keep them scores and watch intensely weekly during all the games marking them scores and calling out mistakes. So happy to be able to join in with this tournament even though knowing nothing about basketball but lucky to have a fantastic team with two great coaches behind them like @a1errrthing that works these youth above and beyond in fitness and well being so if you have youth interested in the game then reach out he will get them in shape and then there’s @oopy_x9 who coached the team last year and was delighted he took the part again and found some strong players. There’s many more peeps involved so that’s just a few of the parts that keep this timepiece moving. Thanks to all the teams, the players, the managers,the coaches, the reds, the spectators that make the weekends a fun and exciting one and most of all keep the youth in a safe environment where they can chill, have fun, eat and drink throughout the day thanks to the community and donations given weekly.
