Posted @withrepost • @joinfdny The #FDNY Youth Workforce and Pipeline Programs hosted a Summer Youth EMS Academy (SEMSA) Completion Ceremony yesterday for 72 new Emergency Medical Technicians at our Fire Academy on #RandallsIsland. Since July, the young achievers have trained with dedication at our #EMS Academy at #FortTotten to become New York State certified Emergency Medical Technicians. To date, more than 500 New Yorkers have become state certified #EMTs through this program. This year's ceremony was also a special one for our military family. #EMT Nailah Delgado is completing basic training for the Army National Guard and her father, Jorge, accepted her certificate at the ceremony on her behalf.
