At the chalet amid the Swiss mountains I felt Italy was calling. I looked at a map and found this small lake, plugged it in the gps and went for it. When I arrived in the town of Orta San Giulio, I had no idea that I just found my paradise. Really.. I was startled. Taken aback. Had no words. Pure magic. The locals welcomed me in, I became part of the small community, little to none tourists there, walking home in the tiny back alleys I cuddled with cats as the church bells were ringing. Poetic, indeed. Lars joined me on his own roadtrip and we decided to stay for a few more days. Talking late into the night and walking home tipsy through the empty streets (second last picture haha). Waking up on the last day to the magical view (last picture), was too much for my little heart. And yeah, I had a little cry 😂 Didn’t wanna leave.
