Maestra. (teacher) 6x8 ft acrylic on canvas. I painted this while living in the historic Buhne building in Eureka, Ca. The shapes are based on the structure of the Samoa pulp mill, that I could see out of my studio window. I loved this old mill that most local people thought was so ugly, so I painted it in simple shapes, soft peach, white, and grey to create a comforting and soothing interpretation of it.
