Sulfate free and silicone free conditioner. It’s okay to use sulfate and silicone later on, but to start I suggest you to stop using it and use sulfate free shampoo and silicone free conditioner instead. 2. Microfiber towel/T-shirt STOP using your regular hair towel please. It’s too rough on your hair. Start using a t-shirt or a microfiber hair towel instead! 3. Satin/silk pillow case and a hair bonnet This will reduce the frizz on your hair when you are sleeping, also protect the curls, making them last longer. 4. Scissor to trim your damaged ends!! Damaged/split ends CANT BE SAVED, so if you don’t want to cut all of your hair off, I suggest you to keep trimming those damaged ends until you get rid of them. 5. Hair mask and stylers!! Deep conditioning or using hair mask is VERY CRUCIAL especially when you’re just starting out. You can also make your own hair mask or buy store products. Some faves, Manuka Honey from @sheamoisture, Repairing Hairmask from @curlysecret. ✨ Choose one or two stylers. Don’t overwhelm yourself with products. Experiment first with what you have before buying more. My faves: @sheamoisture curl enhancing smoothie, @jessicurl spiralicious gel, @curlysecret leave in and gels, etc. (Go to my page to know more) 6. Hair oils to seal your hair when dry (giving you that SHINE) and also scalp massage! My favorite is @theinnatelife Rose hair Elixir, @floracurl superfruit oil and @righteousrootsoils to scalp massage. 7. (Optional) spray bottle! This comes in handy when you’re styling your hair. 8. (Opt) diffuser/diffuser attachment. You can dry your hair by using this. Diffusing gives you more defined and voluminous result. 9. (Opt) Scalp brush. You can use this while cleansing your hair with shampoo. 10. (Opt) Scrunchies/hair clips to keep your hair up, especially if you’re still transitioning & not confident yet with your hair.
