Good ideas always begin over a shared meal. The latest was dreamt up over dishes-upon-dishes from @cervosnyc with three talented and big-hearted ladies @hanaasbrink @judy.kim @cbyunnie one warm fall night in 2021. Our topic of conversation that evening? How to connect our Korean-American community more deeply into the world of philanthropy.⁣ ⁣ Enter @banchanboxparty - a fundraising vehicle for organizations that are doing good. Our inaugural party benefits the Korean American Community Foundation.⁣ @kacfny is one of the largest funders of AAPI nonprofit organizations that provide housing services, food pantries, job training, mental health counseling, and more.⁣ ⁣ We sought out the help of some KA friends in the NYC food and creative worlds and were overwhelmed with the response.
