Here’s a little bit about my process: I oscillate between looking at the big picture and then focusing on small details, on an ongoing basis. I look for areas that I want to improve upon. In this case, it’s a specific spot that I painted over with opaque colours, which completely changed the direction of the piece. Time to stand back again and observe. It’s a conversation of sorts. And so it goes. I’m so in love with these purply blues and turquoise, contrasting with that wonderful Diarylide Yellow (@goldenpaints: why is it called “Diarylide”?
