North Carolina trail , Read more info on this crazy, epic hike.🇺🇸🥾⛰ 💡 Save for your future NC hiking adventures 😍 📌 Grandfather Trail (to Calloway Peak) in Grandfather Mountain State Park, North Carolina. 🚘 Parking for hikers is in the lower parking lot below the parking for Mile High Bridge & Visitor’s Center. Then, it’s a 0.5 mile hike up to the trailhead which is across the parking lot from visitor’s center. 🥾 ( Accounting for some side-off trails like MacCrae Peak, Shanty Spring, Indian House Cave etc). I highly recommend going up to MacCrae Peak -Best views! ⛰This trail is rated difficult / strenuous with elevation gain of over 2,000ft and many ladders and cables.
