Jonathan Mercedes, an emerging photographer from the Bronx, NY, invites us into the fold of his creative practice by sharing beautiful unseen images from his early photography archives. The first image was a test shot on 120mm featuring his father, while the second intimately captures the destabilizing emotions of his early pandemic experience: “I stepped in front of the camera for the first time and took some intimate images of myself to reflect how I was feeling during that time. I felt very vulnerable and alone but very ambitious about creating work.” - This kicks off the UNSEEN Series, where we highlight you- our creative community!
