How real are you? While most of us would like to answer this rather simple question with a resounding ‘very’, we also immediately, secretly question our own confidence in it. Are we living up to our own standards? Are we guarding ourselves into a façade of our true feelings until we become a separate entity? Are we afraid to be truly seen so it is easier to create an alter ego we believe is more likable? First we have to acknowledge what being real means and for that have come to terms with that there is no such thing as ultimate reality. We perceive everyone and everything differently from everyone and everything else. And so also us ourselves are perceived differently by everyone relative to their own experience. ‘Reality’ is relative by design. An individual experience relative to our and their story. So if reality doesn’t matter then what is there to guide us towards who we really are? We can find out by changing the word ‘real’ to the word ‘true’. Because deeply engrained inside ourselves, inside our spirit, our soul, there is truth that speaks to us in feelings. It is such a clear mile marker that any distortion of that truth leaves us feeling heavy, anxious, depressed or agitated. While any honest truth we express through word or action feels light, elevated, freeing and reconnecting. Because it is. It is our spirit rejoicing in being listened to. When we are true and open, we are in unison with our soul. We are listening. We are learning our language. It is symbiosis. We are defragmenting what is fragmented. And then even difficult conversations or actions feel almost serene as our soul is cheering us on. Ultimately, this unification of our body, mind and spirit, turning our three fold being into one makes us become the same entity in every space. With every person. In all relativity. Open, honest and ultimately loving. Because nothing is more loving towards yourself and the ones around you by inspiring others to reconnect with their own love for their truth. Let’s be real.
