🎄 Recap of a Christmas Weekend with my oldest son Caleb! . ❤️We just came back from the Merriest Place on Earth after packing in a MASSIVE amount of fun & Christmas cheer! . 👍🏼POSITIVES: Disneyland and DCA are so festive and fun during Christmastime! We rode our favorite rides, and enjoyed a few holiday shows! At Disneyland, we seemed to catch the parade every day! We also caught the fireworks both in Galaxy’s Edge and then again right in front of the gorgeous lit up castle. We watched Candlelight Processional from a somewhat poor viewing location-but experienced it nonetheless! We also enjoyed some favorite foods with some seasonal offerings sprinkled in! DCA was a real challenge this trip. We experienced most of our favorite rides and tried a small handful of foods. We also snagged 2 amazing last-minute dining reservations: Storyteller’s Cafe for Mickey’s Christmas Carol Character dinner ( YES-that was Jacob Marley!) & Blue Bayou because Caleb had never experienced it before! . 👎🏼The Parks were massively crowded, and Caleb isnt much of a Rope Dropper. Our strategy was to use LLMP and stay late. It worked ok, but not as well as Rope Dropping does. Lines were very long everywhere (we saw The Little Mermaid at 45 min and Guardians at 165 min at one point) and Lightning Lanes sold out unusually fast. DCA rides were broken so often we didnt ride a single Cars Land ride, webslingers, Pixar Pier, in 3 days! Mobile Order was down while in Cars Land and the wait for food was ridiculous. I tried to Mobile Order Mickey Gingerbread at 7:00am each day, but my app kept glitching. I realized too late that it needed to be updated! So remember to do that before your trip! . ❤️The truth of a Disney is this: if you are an average family traveling to Disney (World or Land), always remember to pack your patience and manage expectations. Even the best laid plans can fall apart and there may be nothing you can do about it but just grit your teeth while you get in the 40-min line. It will still be a wonderful time!
