Leap of Faith/ Patiently waiting to return to the icy waters, a group of Adelie penguins pile along the icy ledge to leap one by one from their perch in search of their next meal. Although abundant in numbers, Adelies, as well as all animals who rely on the sea ice for survival, face an uncertain future. From retreating ice to overfishing, the lives of penguins and all of Antarctica’s wildlife are directly tied to the future of our planet and the actions we choose to take now. Much like these penguins, we too live on the precipice of a future cast in uncertainty, and it can be difficult to hold onto hope.
