Great to see businesses switching away from plastic packaging to reduce plastic waste. We received an item from @telstra recently and were delighted that no plastic was used in their packaging—all paper! The statement on the box reads, ‘This packaging, made with recyclable materials, is part of our commitment to improve our environmental impact and reduce waste going to landfill’. Not that long ago electrical items were all packaged in layers of different types of plastic including polystyrene (foam) and plastic wrap. Great to see this innovation and use of a single material type by the largest communications company in Australia. Do you have businesses in your area reducing plastic waste with their packaging?
