I typically don’t post reels because, to be honest, I’m ok with whatever I say disappearing after 24 hours. But I am genuinely horrified by what feels to me like mass apathy towards the crumbling of our democracy. I am heart broken, and I am disturbed. I have been in Connecticut for the past 4 years. I get it; the liberals took it too far. Everyone is exhausted by time policing, outrage culture, moral elitism, and just overall (what my former FCC lovingly called) bitchassness. But throwing away our democracy is by far the most anti-American ideology one could espouse. Our democracy is what has given us the right to marry who we want, get healthcare where we want, travel to whatever country we want, dress how we want, and eat what we want. Please. Fight for our democracy. Fight for America. Its inhabitants are worth it. Your family is worth it. Your education, healthcare, and job is worth it. We are worth it. Video credit to @iamdaviontatum
