Saturday and Sunday will culminate with a fashion pop-up shop featuring queer designers and artists from NYC and beyond. Swing through, hang out, and shop from 1-5pm at the museum. Artists including @chellaman, @rebirthgarments, @mellojello91, @vincettastudio, @malcolmxbetts, and @surprisinghealthbenefits will bring their wares to the museum, where guests can not only enjoy the work, but take it home for themselves. These designers and artists all use fashion as a site to explore transness, how clothing can be a source of safety and joy in an ableist world, and how photography and fashion can function as a vital tool for self representation and preservation in BIPOC, queer, disability communities.
