PYRATEX® has built a production chain from plant to fabric, offering a fully traceable process that ensures the lowest environmental impact, which is one of the reasons we love it. Everything they do is focused on regeneration, starting with the fibres they work with. Our 100% recycled cotton originates from post-consumer industrial textile cotton waste, collected from all over the world. The fibres are then mechanically recycled and the yarn is spun in Spain in a process that uses 50% solar power. During the dying and finishing process, they restrict the use of harsh chemicals to protect both their employees as well as the environment, whilst also preserving the natural properties of the fibres. Offering full transparency, they partnered with BCOME in order to provide their environmental impact and last year they saved 7M litres of water and 180kg of CO2 - the equivalent to 2.5 olympic-sized pools.
