Took the trip to Meaford, Ontario today. Checked out @stillfieldsbrewery for the first time. Absolutely beautiful blip on the side of the road. Rocking out with vinyl blasting from some UK made Castle speakers from the inside of a VW van parked out back, I took a minute to check out the vintage ware pop up along aide the bottle shop. No, this wasn't bloordale. This was on a beautiful family farm alongaide the shores of Georgian Bay. Thanks to Co-owner Steve for chatting with me about the buisness and making me feel welcome. I left with some weekend bottles to dip into but the one poured for me was a bottle conditioned hoppy Saison. Soft and bready, you could drink it all day long. And I have. It's about as perfect a beer as you can get. And does buying it from a farm make it more farmhouse?
