“I've just seen the news that Roe vs Wade has been overturned and I feel sick. This now means abortions will already be illegal now in several states in America. This will only affect women in society-the poorest, and most vulnerable. It makes me so angry, and so sad that they've done this. Of all the reforms America could have carried out this year (to ban guns, assault weapons or assault rifles)..... but there's too much money being made from assault rifles and guns. Babies, children, human beings make money-none of this has anything to do with the sanctity of human life or respect for human life and everything to do with money and power and control. Controlling women. It's so repressive. In the last few years we’ve seen huge changes, if you put somebody from 500 years ago to now, they wouldn't be able to recognise it. We're a different world, the progress we've made-whether it's black lives matter, Me Too, or the Pride movement is huge. We were seeing the rise and the fight for equality and justice and recognising our collective superpower. Now, the ‘old guard’, the people who benefited from those who have been in place, have come back with a vengeance and they've come back aggressively. Again- this has nothing to do with the sanctity or respect for human life. This is old guard protecting itself and it's making sure that you stay in your lane. People like Trump (see slide 2) and his ilk. This has got nothing to do with God or faith. Your faith did not do this. Jesus did not do this. God did not do this. Trump did this, that ‘holy man’, single-handedly to every woman in America. This is the very very start of it and we have to fight back with everything we have. This is not progressive, this is going backwards. I stand with every woman in America. I feel for you and am just so sad about this news today.” @luisaomielan yesterday.
