What it’s really like negotiating oral meds with a toddler. So today Dillan had a chemo called ‘Vincristine’ through the port in his chest. It requires 5 days of steroids afterwards. Because the steroids are so strong they can actually rip a hole in their stomach, so he has to also have another medication that lines his stomach before he has the steroid. So that’s x2 extra meds for 5 days. Both taste like crap, and both take a good 5 minutes of negotiating to get him to drink them. We are past spitting out phase now thank god as you can’t re-administer if he does that. But police threats are my new go too.
