It's hard to believe that it has been a year since I toed the start line of a trail race. But what a year it's been, although my lack of racing hasn't been down to injury or anything like that. Tbh, I had fallen out of love with racing, so I preferred to stand instead on the sideline to watch and cheer on my partner, friends, community members and strangers. In many ways, I have found more joy in doing so. In two weeks, I will lace up my trail shoes, pin a bib onto my top, and hit the trails for a 52km race around the Surrey Hills for the @the_tribe_way x @maverickrace Run Free Trail race.
