so honored to be named the @gatorade 2021-2022 National Girls Track & Field Player of the Year! I have never been one to place my whole identity in running, which makes this award so incredibly special to me because unlike many others, this one recognizes me as a whole person- athlete, student, and member of my community. my family, friends, coaches, teammates, and mdsa deserve this award just as much as I do because of the countless sacrifices and hours of dedication they have put in to help me succeed and I could not be more grateful 🤍 #gatoradepoy
