Part 3 of 3: “The Family” Feature Film - crew love. Shooting “The Family” was one of the most memorable projects in my career this far, and I owe it all to our amazing cast & crew. Technically speaking, it was not an easy film. It required a very specific approach (based on the subject matter), including lighting a nearly 3 acre plot of farm land in the dead of night with limited resources, power and budget - amongst a handful of other complexities. However, I knew if I came in as prepared as I possibly could, with a binder full of references, lighting plans, camera plans, and script notes, I would be ready for any situation thrown at me. I made sure to be prepared for anything and everything. I think in the end it only benefited the film since my pre-production binder was my bible and allowed for more spontaneous creativity on set, since we always had a backup plan to fall back on in case a shot wasn't working. Shooting this film wouldn’t have been possible without director @westanddan, producer @_adam_booth_, production designer @mercedesxart, my incredible team at @seslercompany, my partner @torriwebster, as well as Jen Mallette, Trevor Huys, and Greg Jeffs at @wfw_intl. Thank you to the team at Sesler and William F Whites for supporting this project and believing in me since the beginning of my career. I also wanted to give a huge shout out to our amazing cast: Nigel Bennett, @thebenjaminwatson, @jenna_warren, @toniellwand, @keanalyn_, Yasmin MacKay and Onyx Spark.
