i’ve recently found a passion for making weird little things and refurbishing old furniture for my apartment whenever i feel really sad. 🥹 if you had told 16 year old me i’d ever get to live in my own apartment in los angeles.. let alone get to make it as weird and non sensical as i want with sculptures and art... i would have never believed you. i think it’s really easy for me to lose track of how far i’ve come as a person and artist and constantly tell myself i’m never good enough. by making these little things and giving furniture a second life it’s been a nice way to remind myself that it takes work and care to make anything great. but if you put in the hours you can do anything : ‘ ) and at every single low point, i look around at all the little things i’ve made and fixed and remember that i’ve made something beautiful out of my sadness <3
