✨ Pat McGrath Mothership IX: Huetopian Dream ✨ Part 1 of my review of this palette! In this part I want to focus on the formulas and packaging. In the next part I’ll share looks I’ve created and my thoughts on the palette as a whole. I’ve had this palette for about 8 months, so I’ve had plenty of time to get familiar with it 😂 Disclaimer: these are my opinions as someone who loves bold, sparkly eyeshadow, has worked as a professional artist in the past, and has tried A LOT of eyeshadow palettes. It’s okay if your opinions are different 😉 Things I love: ✨ The baked special shades have an insane level of sparkle and shine (especially the one in the top right!) ✨ I feel fancy when I use it ✨ The mattes are easy to work with and are pigmented well to work on various skin tones ✨ It’s a Black Woman owned company ✨ The formula seems consistent with her other palettes Things I don’t love: ✨ It’s expensive ($12.50 per eyeshadow) ✨ The packaging is really heavy and bulky, and the mirror is awkward to use ✨ PMG is in the “gray area” and not considered cruelty free by most ✨ I find the color story very difficult to work with, and most of my looks end up muddy and not cohesive ✨ The baked shades are beautiful, but difficult to use without a glitter primer or mixing fluid Have you ever used anything from Pat McGrath? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! 🏷 #bnbylauren #patmcgrathlabs #patmcgrath #huetopiandream #pmglablove #makeupreview
