Chinese Takeout Chicken & Mushrooms at home. Recipe ⬇️ & on @peppertheapp : Ingredients Chicken Velvet: 1 lb chicken breast or thighs , cut into 1 in. pieces 1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp salt 1-2 tbsp oil 1/2 tbsp cornstarch 1 tsp baking soda Sauce: 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp oyster sauce 1/4 tsp pepper 1 tbsp sugar 1/4 tsp msg 1/2 cup chicken stock 1/2 tbsp cornstarch Other: Zucchini cut into half moon slices Mushrooms bitesize slices 5 cloves minced garlic 1 inch minced ginger Step 1: Cut chicken into bite size pieces, then coat with baking soda, corn starch, salt and pepper. Top with oil to lock in the starch let sit in fridge 15-30 minutes to allow it to break down the chicken. Step 2: Heat large pan or wok on med high and add 1-2 tbsp of oil. Cook chicken 5-8 minutes till almost cooked through. Remove from pan. Step 3: Bring pan to low heat. Wait till it cools down, then add garlic and ginger. Once you smell them add in veggies and then after 5 minutes add In sauce. Cook till veggies are tender. Step 4: Add chicken back in and fold into sauce and veggies for a few minutes.
