Riis has been such a quinticential part of my queer expierence in NYC. Its the first place I was able to see so many beautiful queer embracing their bodies in every form. The first place I saw folks with top surgery and began my journey into understanding myself and moving toward true self actualization. Riis is more than just a beach it’s a community. Just because they are demolishing that sketchy ass building doesn’t change the fact that it’s our beach. Honestly, our little pocket of the beach is way too rocky and has no cell service anyway 🙄 soooo if you ask me it’s time to quite literally spread the queer agenda in a tangible way and spread out to take over more of The beach. 😈 Fun fact: there’s cell service on the other side of the life guard stand 😘 Article link in bio
