We hear this a lot - “charge your worth”, but recently a stylist asked a great question. 👉🏻”How do I know what my worth actually is?!” 🤷‍♀️ My response was: A stylist’s worth isn’t the same # straight across the board. Your “worth” is very relative to YOU. “Your worth” is the number makes you feel excited to show up with enthusiasm & do what you do best! This number, or rate, or “worth” shall we say, will change as you grow as a professional, as you invest in education, as you acquire knowledge & experience, and as you evolve as a person. 👉🏻With the current pricing you have in place now.. Ask yourself these questions: ⚜️Are you really happy with the money you’re making? ⚜️Do you feel like you have kind, yet firm boundaries with your clients? ⚜️Do you have clients that nickel & dime you? ⚜️Do you find yourself giving discounts or giving services for free? ⚜️Is there any part of you that has been wanting to raise prices but you never seem to do it, or you feel bad for doing do? ⚜️When is the last time you raised your prices? ⚜️Do you wake up every day feeling excited & motivated for your salon day ahead? ⚜️Are you excited about the amount of money you will make each day? These answers can help guide to you whether or not you are charging your worth in your career. What someone else feels “charging their worth” is, might not be the same for you, and that’s perfectly ok! Remember, it IS POSSIBLE to have a wildly fulfilling career, a happy salon environment, clients who respect you and you love to be around, dream clients who are happy to pay your prices dollar & tip you graciously, and books and bank accounts overflowing with abundance.
