In the US alone, anxiety is one of the top mental health concerns. Over 40 million adults—more than 19% of the general population— experience anxiety disorders, along with 7% of children between the ages of 3-17, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). I personally, on the recent side of my life, have experienced deep forms of anxiety. As well as panic attacks. Anxiety can be easily covered up when it's in early stages, then it builds up, and can explode into a panic attack (or other forms of heightened stress) that is triggered for no seeming cause. These experiences are to be taken very seriously. Your heart ❤️ tightens, the energy rises to the throat, and it feels like the onset of a heart attack. This is not only painful, but frightening.
