“Sree Dhanya Catering Service” is a fun and light-humored story based on male catering professionals. The film was mostly shot handheld and on the ZEISS Cinema Zooms, which became a key part of the film’s language. DP Salu K Thomas (@kunjumon_salu) shared insights into which Cinema Zooms he chose and why: “A vendor friend of mine bought these new lenses for our film. He was getting a lot of requests for this set of Zooms, especially the 28-80mm and the 15-30mm. These lenses were behaving like Prime lenses in their quality and out-of-focus rendering. The 28-80mm became my favorite for the film. The highlight and shadow roll-off, rendering of natural light, color rendition, etc., are like any other ZEISS Primes. I was so impressed with the engineering that was put into it.
