At Somerset House, we are deeply saddened by the news of the Queen’s death. We share in the sorrow that people across the country, and throughout the world, will be feeling today. The Queen visited Somerset House in 2012 to open our renovated East Wing, as pictured here. Her visit was a very special occasion, and we were grateful for her generosity and warmth on that important day for Somerset House. As we enter this period of mourning, remembrance and reflection, we will respond appropriately to the events of the coming days and weeks as the country prepares to bid farewell.
