The most fiercely independent, stubborn, strong-willed woman left us last night. Grandmom, I’ll miss you always surprising me by remembering all the details of my life (even at 92!) and always ALWAYS asking about Parsley and if he fussed at me for leaving him to go on whatever work trip I had recently returned from. And how many times you brought up those times I stayed with you when I was little and would hide under your bed to try to scare you. It’s amazing how the smallest things can make the most lasting memories. I can still hear our last “love you” - I’ll miss you but I’m at peace knowing you are no longer in pain and finally home again.
