When we were in production on DOPESICK in Virginia during the peak of the pandemic, I never imagined a morning when we would be celebrating FOURTEEN Emmy nominations nearly two years later!! I’m beaming with pride and profound appreciation for Danny Strong and Hulu, who had the determination and fearlessness to bring this story to life. DOPESICK deeply enriched my personal and professional life and I will be forever grateful to have been given the unique experience to play a part in exposing the tragedy of the opioid crisis in America. Playing Betsy may be the single most rewarding and heartbreaking experience of my career thus far. To stand beside this incredible cast including Michael Keaton, Mare Winningham, Ray McKinnon, Cleopatra Coleman, Rosario Dawson, Will Poulter, Michael Stuhlbarg and Peter Saarsgaard is an embarrassment of riches. What a gift to immerse in the creative genius that is Danny Strong. To be acknowledged with an Emmy nomination for this particular role is an achievement I won’t ever take for granted.
