Reminder to self! *trigger warning - burnout/mental health I think this quote by author Giridhar Alwar is spot on. We live in such a busy and hectic society that it’s easy to find yourself lost. A couple of weeks ago, I experienced this and I felt the burnout. Big time! Next thing my Mum is booking for me to come see her in Germany (where she lives). Sometimes that’s what you really need, your Mum; regardless of your age! I have always been very open on here about the struggles of running a business, but most importantly running one solo. It’s no small feat and it’s easy to overdo it and feel totally alone, even with the best support system in the world. Which I am very lucky to have. I’m off for a week and just having that time away from the sewing machine is going to help me ‘regain’ myself. I know it’s a luxury that I can take this amount of time away, but if you are ever feeling this in yourself, remember to always put yourself first, even if just for a day.
