Three years ago, I ran my first marathon on this course. Recently, I finished my fifth in 2:50:57, qualifying for the Boston Marathon. While I’m proud of the work that is put in and the subsequent results, the reason I keep running is because it reminds me that life is a privilege. It’s taught me that if you never learn to appreciate what you have now, you’ll spend your whole life chasing what’s next. I’m thankful that God planned out the perfect close to this chapter, and I’m happy to share a piece of my life that makes me feel alive. Life’s a gift. Live it with intent.
