Ventersdorp, South Africa, 1994 – An AWB rally to promote violence and vigilantism. In an attempt to forestall South Africa's first non-racial, democratic election in 1994 it disrupted mainstream political meetings and waged a terrorist bombing campaign.
Mafikeng, Bophuthatswana, 1994 - AWB commandos invaded the semi-autonomous "homeland" of Bophuthatswana, murdering several citizens. In the counter-attack, a car with three AWB officers was fired upon. The driver was killed immediately and the two others shot dead as they tried to surrender.
