Yesterday was 7 years since I lost my mother. I’m in NYC, so at sunset I asked Shane to walk to the west side highway esplanade with me. We watched the sun set over the water, set our intentions around being loved, held, guided, and never alone, and enjoyed the evening bustle of everyone soaking up the last of this beautiful day. The feeling I feel when I think of my mom is no longer overwhelming sadness around the loss, I just feel her, and there’s so much power there.
