Harold Lloyd’s third talkie, “Movie Crazy” (1932), was released 90 years ago today. The film offers a fascinating behind-the-camera look at the studio system in the early sound era as Lloyd, playing a small-town celluloid fanatic, chases his dreams of movie stardom in Hollywood. The film was restored to its original release length by the UCLA Film & Television Archive with the cooperation of @theofficialharoldlloyd Estate and @themuseumofmodernart and shown at the first #UCLAFestivalOfPreservation in 1988.
