this piece is a visual representation of what it would feel like to give my younger self a hug 🦢 titled “pretend world” this is probably the most experimental work of art i’ve made yet. lately i’ve been loving to use unconventional mediums to force myself out of my comfort zone. featured in this one are calico critters, miniature silk roses, doilies, tissue paper, bits and pieces from broken jewelry, buttons, and scraps of various old fabrics. it is a bit inspired by something my dad said to me a while ago: “i kind of live in a pretend world, because the world is pretend.” shoutout to my dad he rocks. #mixedmediaartist #experimentalart #textileart #selfportrait #artistsoninstagram
