Priorities change as we get older because with age (hopefully) comes wisdom. I’ve always cringed at the saying “blood is thicker than water” because at times it is so VERY untrue. What if that blood is toxic?? I don’t care who you are or where you are at in life...don’t ever let anyone...family or not poison your well. Family isn’t always your bloodline...family are the ones who behind closed doors have your back, pray for your heartaches and successes as earnestly as they pray for their own...show up in ways you don’t expect them to but need them to. Whether you are related to these people or find these people...(your family) ... do yourself a favor and prioritize them because they will bring you home. 🦋
