When I first started my journey back in February 2017, I new nothing about curly hair, As much as I wanted to embrace my natural hair, I felt pretty lost in the beginning of this process. I was stressed and thought I needed to buy every product I saw at the beauty supply store. 😆 I thought I needed to find the “right product” that was going to miraculously grow my hair and I learned very quickly that wasn’t the case. Products are great and do contribute to the health of our hair but the real key is having a healthy regimen and being consistent with it. This means washing weekly, following a hair routine, checking in with your hair throughout the week, trimming your ends, moisturizing when needed and most important, staying away from straightening your hair while you are transitioning. . Once you create your hair regimen, remain consistent and discipline with your routine, eventually you will see the change that you’ve been looking for. It’s definitely going to take time & a lot of work. This doesn’t happen overnight. 🙃 Just remember why you’re doing this for yourself and keep pushing to achieve your hair goals. I always encourage you to take pictures of your progress as the months goes by. It’s such a good feeling to go back to these photos and see your hard work and dedication pay-off. 🥰🎉 .
