She is a staff writer on @theproblem With Jon Stewart streaming on Apple TV+. Tocarra was born in Germany, moved around a bit, and then finally settled in Florida, because, yes, she is a military brat. Before becoming a full time TV writer she worked at various arts and social services nonprofits, so she’s like a really, really good person. Her comedy is based on her life as a mother, middle child, conspiracy theorist, and being the only Black girl in her class in Fairbanks, Alaska.
