"I work outside of the home some days and am home with my daughter on the others. I like to consider myself part-time working mom, part-time stay at home mom — but always a full-time mama. As far as the 'effort' I put into how I look on the days I'm home, it's often minimal. I typically take the time to do something before she wakes up that makes me feel good, whether that is exercising 🏋, taking an uninterrupted shower 🚿, throwing some minimal makeup on💄, or some days even putting on a real outfit 👗 Sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself throughout the day and I get in my head about my appearance [if it was a day I chose to not put myself together] but then I remind myself — my daughter doesn't care that I threw my hair in a messy bun, that I skipped the makeup application, or chose sweats over a cute dress; she cares and will remember me being present with her that day - playing her favorite toys, eating together, and dancing around the house giggling 😊 Of course, doing something for me before the day gets started always makes me feel good, no matter how small that task or accomplishment is!
