Shooting in an outdoor environment is my favorite. You’re constantly chasing the light b/c it’s always changing. It only takes a few seconds or minutes to have a completely new lighting set up - which is so liberating b/c you’re operating on instinct rather than the mechanics of machinery. We drove out to the desert so early in the morning that it was still dark by the time we arrived. First, the sunrise came. Then the soft cascade of light filtered by clouds, unobstructed by buildings and cranes and noise. Working with @_cheikhtall in this landscape was such a gift.
