✨TRYING THE MOST UNIQUE (AND CONTROVERSIAL) RESTAURANT IN LA✨ Vespertine in Culver City has been lauded by some and hated by others since its opening in 2017, so I tried their one-of-a-kind tasting menu to see if it’s worth it. Coming from acclaimed chef Jordan Kahn and earning 2 Michelin stars plus honors from World’s 50 Best, James Beard, and Jonathan Gold amongst others, a meal here will run you $395/person before any supplements or beverage pairings. The dinner was an experience in addition to a meal, and at a price point this high I felt this aspect is what made it truly worth it. Every dish is a work of art — in presentation, skill, creativity, storytelling, and taste (an aspect that the previous version of Vespertine from before the pandemic was often accused of forgoing). So if you’re looking for a special occasion dinner that’s unlike anything else in Los Angeles, this is the spot for you. Send this to someone you wanna go with, and follow me for more LA restaurant reviews, recommendations, and things to do! @vespertine.la @chefjordankahn #losangeles #lafoodie #thingstodoinla #michelin #finedining #tastingmenu
